No, they're not watching a 3D movie! Watching the sun's path during a colar eclipse requires special eye protection. PLEASE don't try to watch with normal sunglasses - even a partial eclipse can damage your eyes. Be aware that many viewers being sold are fake knock-offs and won't actually protect your eyes.
